The Secretariat will provide support in committee programs, Government submissions, information seminars, industry and public relations.
The objectives of SISFA are:
To build awareness among the general public of the benefits of small independent superannuation funds.
To develop policies in relation to small independent superannuation funds and matters affecting the interests of members of the Association.
To provide information to Government and media on small independent superannuation funds and the Association's policies.
To develop best practice guidelines for members.
To share information between trustees of small independent superannuation funds, their advice professionals, and other service providers.
To liaise with Government on proposed policy, legislation and rulings that affect small independent superannuation funds.
To consult with other superannuation funds and industry organisations on matters of common interest including, where appropriate, the initiation of joint action programs.
To foster communications and an affirmation with comparable organisations in Australia or overseas.
